Spouse/Partner/Fiance

Two questions...

1.) I am currently on a fiancé visa about to get married in October. Visa expires early December. Can I stay through Christmas then leave? Or best to leave jsut before or on day of expiry?

2.) How long do I have to leave before I can come back? (I am American and can technically visit on my passport.)
