Made Redundant on Skilled Worker & Visa Curtailment / Cancellation

Hello sir, thank you for making such informative videos.

My role was made redundant from the Bank I worked for in Feb 2024, they notified HO on 26th Feb 2024.

We changed addresses so not sure if they have sent any letter yet.

1. Is checking curtailment status via Share code the right way to know if they have changed the validity of my current Skilled Worker visa ?

2. If we contact them for status will that make them process our Curtailment letter on priority?

3. Or how else can we check the status?

4. Is the delay in processing new visa applications for Care workers only or all types of jobs?

1. Yes

2. I don’t think contact UKVI will affect it, but there is no need to contact UKVI.

3. You can apply for a UKVI subject access request, to get a copy of your records and the cancellation letter/email should be on your file, if it is issued. 4. Currently, Skilled Worker applications are decided as per the timelines for straightforward cases.
