I was on a global business mobility visa of 2 years but after a few months into my job I received an offer from my client company and they applied for a Skilled worker visa. Although I received a positive decision from my home office and I was granted permission to stay in the UK as a skilled worker from 12 Jan 2023 and 3rd March 2028, I did not start working for this new company until july 2024. A gap of nearly 7 months. The reason was, I couldn't have joined the client company directly without a cool off period of 6-7 months.
Question: 1. When did my 5 year clock to indefinate Leave (Permanent residency) start? T,he start date on my BRP or first working day of my first working day with the new company which is 6 months later than the brp issue date?
If you attended court and then a judge decided against you, then it will definitely have an impact on your ILR. If you did not attend court, then it depends on the facts of the case, pattern of behaviour, any mitigating circumstances, etc.
