Immigration Caseworker OISC Level 1

Full time position(with first 3 months probationary period)

Hours of Work:

The office hours of work are 9:30am to 5:30pm including 1 hour unpaid lunch break. The normal working week is 35 hours. You may be required on occasion to work outside of these core hours

Types of Applications:

You should have experience dealing with at least the following types of applications (both Entry Clearance and within UK)

  • Appendix FM applications - (including applications with Exemption from meeting the Financial requirements for receiving certain benefits; and be able to calculate the Financial requirement with all sources of incomes and combinations of incomes)

  • Employer Sponsor Licence (at least Tier 2 - General & ICT) - Initial application and renewals

  • Sponsor Management System activities (at least Tier 2 - General & ICT) 

  • British Nationality applications for Adults and Children's (including Naturalisation, Registration)

  • Points based applications and PBS dependants

  • All types of Settlement applications

  • Applications for partners and children of EEA nationals

 

Specific activities:

You should have experience of handling your own caseload of Level 1 advice and be able to do the following activities, in particular,

Giving UK Immigration advice to potential and existing clients

Drafting Client Care letter with detailed instructions and advice

Reviewing Client’s Documents and advising

Filling up and submitting the online application forms, booking appointments and uploading documents

Drafting representations to the UK Home Office / UKVI

Scanning documents received from clients (80% of our clients share documents digitally)
 

You should:

Have at least 1 year experience post-registration as OISC Level 1(or higher) adviser

Be Extremely detail-oriented and able to work with strict deadlines

Handle clients’ queries in a professional and timely manner

Proficient in English, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Background in law is preferred but not necessary

Have a Right to work in the UK

Be able to work in a 80% paperless office

Remuneration: 

Fixed: National Minimum Wage (£8.72 per hour for 25 years of age and over, £8.20 per hour for 21 to 24 years of age, etc.)

Variable: Monthly bonus depending on performance (you are not required to do any sales or business development, the bonus is based purely on the activities mentioned under the heading "Specific Activities" above)

Additional Employee benefits: 

You will be entitled to 28 days paid holiday per year pro-rata, inclusive of Bank Holidays

​

Sickness Pay:

There is no contractual sickness payments scheme in addition to Statutory Sick Pay(SSP). SSP will be paid if you meet the eligibility requirements at https://www.gov.uk/statutory-sick-pay
